Dean A. Atkinson

Dr. Atkinson joined the Oklahoma Allergy and Asthma Clinic staff in 1993.  He received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He then completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. Dr. Atkinson went on to complete his fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He is board-certified and Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.

Dr. Atkinson has conducted numerous clinical research studies in allergy and asthma. His interests include nasal allergies, asthma, sinus disease, angioedema and urticaria.

Dr. Atkinson is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine with the Department of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City. He is a member of the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology and a fellow of the American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology. He is also a member of the American Medical Association and Oklahoma State Medical Association.

Dr. Atkinson enjoys spending time with his family and resides in Edmond, Oklahoma. His hobbies include exercise, golfing and snow skiing.
